The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency (series) - Alexander McCall Smith The books are set in Botswana, the country from which many in the Madikwe Circuit have their roots. They are very true to the culture and are both light reading and delightful.

A World with a Human Face" A Voice from Africa - Njongonkula Ndungane
Playing the Enemy - John Carlin
Also, the movie, Invictus, would be a great one to view.
